MAT, Mutated Monstrosities, Rare Earth, and Beer!

What do these four things have in common? It’s all arriving in March!

TORONTO, ON March 08, 2012—Looking for something to do this spring break? Look no further! Soldiers are needed in the fight against a new breed of undead creatures. In the new March patch, Mission Against Terror’s mummies have been introduced to rare earth, a precious resource that has caused quite a stir on the battlefield.

Previously, rogue AI robots have found that infusing the rare earth into their armored skeletal frame strengthened its resistance against conventional ballistic weaponry. Now mummies have stumbled upon crates full of this resource and have begun consuming it, with horrifying results. As if the hybrid of sentient machines and cursed mummies weren’t bad enough in Hybrid Invasion(a new game mode introduced in 2011), now mummies who are ingesting rare earth are suffering from genetic mutations.

Since players will be infiltrating the factory that stores this resource directly, they will be able to score some rare earth for themselves. Rare earth adds a new twist to MAT’s crafting system. Previously, players used a crafting machine with the four necessary crafting parts to create a new weapon, item or a piece of clothing. Now players have the option of adding different grades of rare earth(8 in total) to their crafting attempt to further refine their creations.

Aside from the new game type and the addition of rare earth and weapon schematics to MAT’s crafting system, the March patch brings the usual batch of new weapons, items and clothing to the battlefield. A second March patch will introduce a few Saint Patrick’s Day items for players to have fun with, including a four-leaf clover and every MAT soldier’s favorite brewski, the Suba Light beer bottle(for fighting of course, not for drinking!). Get your game on this spring break with Mission Against Terror!
